Objective of the programme

To strengthen and develop cooperatives in cooperatively underdeveloped and least developed states under restructured central sector scheme.

Physical and financial targets of the programme (for the last year)

158 units / projects with Rs.60.00 crore outlay for the year 2010-11.

Eligibility of Beneficiary

Subsidy at the rate of 20% in cooperatively under developed states and 25% in cooperatively least developed states under RCS Schemes.

Eligibility criteria stipulated in the scheme.

Procedure to avail the benefits of the programme

To apply for assistance through State Governments or directly to the Corporation under funding scheme.

Subject to fulfillment of norms under the scheme and availability of subsidy from Government of India.

80 units / projects were provided subsidy assistance of Rs 48.00 crore during 2009-10.

Procedure for the distribution of the subsidy

Progress based alongwith the loan component under RCS Scheme and by conversion of loan into subsidy on completion of the project under Gramin Bhandarn Yojna.
