NCDC has set up a new Business Division namely “NCDC Consultancy Services Division” (NCS) in January 2004 to provide expertise developed by NCDC over the last four decades. The new Division provides the much needed consultancy services, mainly for the benefit of cooperatives, other financial institutions, departments and organisations of the various Ministries of Government of India requiring the expertise available in NCDC. The consultancy is being offered on very nominal fees and the projects would also be considered for financing by NCDC subject to its normal conditions.
2. NCDC provides consultancy on efficient, time bound, cost effective, purpose oriented, productive and in a client friendly mode in any of the customary as well as in virgin areas to help client organisations for expansion/diversification of its activities, value-addition projects, or Organisation Development Intervention/Human Resources Development to render them capable of self sustaining/self renewal. NCDC can provide consultancy on the following areas: · Project formulation and feasibility studies · Appraisal of projects · Monitoring of projects · Investment potential surveys · Financing arrangement and loan syndication · To help cooperatives in domestic marketing and import/export of agriculture produce · Performance rating of cooperative societies · Training and exposure visits 3. The Corporation has provided the following consultancy services: · Feasibility report for setting up of cold storage at Palwal and Mewat areas by Haryana Warehousing Corporation. · Engineering Consultancy for setting up of cargo facilities for handling perishables at Pune Airport by Maharashtra State Agriculture Marketing Board. · Appraisal of Cold Storage projects financed by National Horticulture Board under Capital Investment Subsidy Scheme of Government of India. · Training programme of APEDA officials on project appraisal. · Preparation of standards for Effluent Treatment Plants by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). · Project Report on modernization/rehabilitation of 5 Cooperative Spinning Mills in the Tamil Nadu by Department of Handlooms and Textile, Chennai. · Engineering Consultancy for setting up of Onion Cold Storage by National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd., (NAFED) at Lawrence Road, New Delhi (On Going). · Comprehensive rehabilitation package in respect of Pondicherry Cooperative Sugar Mills Katterikuppam, Tamil Nadu (On Going). |
